The game follows multiple plots, with each Play Set having its own. The Avengers Play Set centers around the Avengers trying to stop Loki and M.O.D.O.K. from attempting to rebuild the Casket of Ancient Winters, with the aid of the Frost Giants,[18] in order to freeze New York City.
